KOCHI (KERALA), Jan 31: Police reported the arrest of twenty-seven Bangladeshi nationals who were illegally residing and working in Kochi. The arrests occurred as a result of a coordinated operation between Ernakulam rural police and the Anti-Terrorism Squad in the North Paravur area of Ernakulam district. According to a senior police official, the detainees were found to be working at various locations while posing as migrant workers from West Bengal, and comprehensive questioning is currently in progress. This action is part of an ongoing special initiative named ‘Operation Clean,’ which was launched by Ernakulam Rural District Police Chief Vaibhav Saxena following the earlier arrest of 28-year-old Thaslima Begum two weeks prior.
