JAMMU, Dec 4: Jammu and Kashmir Police have confiscated approximately 3 quintals of “sub-standard” paneer along with 20 kilograms of butter in the BC Road area today.
According to a police representative, a team from the Bus Stand Police Station, led by the concerned SHO, Inspector Vikas Dogra, conducted a raid at a suspected site in BC Road Jammu under the guidance of SSP Jammu, Joginder Singh, and successfully seized the items.
The items were subsequently handed over to a team from the Department of Food Safety (DFCO), Jammu, he mentioned.
Interestingly, on December 2, a similar operation resulted in the seizure of around 3.5 quintals of sub-standard paneer by a team from the Police Station Bus Stand in the KC Chowk area.
Both samples have been forwarded for laboratory examination for further testing, added the police representative.
