UDHAMPUR, Jan 10: The fifth edition of the week-long Badminton tournament, hosted by the Den of Shuttlers Club in Udhampur, came to a close at the Mini Stadium, filled with excitement and enthusiasm.
Deputy Commissioner Saloni Rai attended the event as the chief guest, alongside District Youth Services and Sports Officer Romesh Chander Mishra, who served as the guest of honour.
In her address, the DC praised the participants for their impressive performances and lauded the Den of Shuttlers Club for putting together such a lively event that encourages sports within the community. She highlighted the role of sports in cultivating discipline, teamwork, and physical fitness among the youth.
The DC urged attendees to avoid drugs and concentrate on nurturing a healthy and productive lifestyle.
Subsequently, the chief guest presented trophies and certificates to the winners and runners-up.
