AGRA (UP), Feb 23: Uttar Pradesh’s Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced on Sunday that 62 crore devotees have attended the Maha Kumbh so far, characterizing the congregation as “one of the rarest events of the century.”
While addressing attendees at the Unicorn Companies Conclave in Agra, he remarked, “This can be deemed the Unicorn Maha Kumbh of the startup realm. There is a significant pull towards the Maha Kumbh at present.”
He added, “This occasion is significant for me. Today, I stand in Braj Bhoomi, a region steeped in spiritual and cultural significance that has profoundly influenced India’s civilization and culture over the years.” Discussing the influx of devotees to the Maha Kumbh, he emphasized the unprecedented gathering and noted, “Gathering such a large number of individuals, whether for spiritual or tourism-related events, during a specific timeframe is undeniably one of the century’s rarest occurrences.”
As the Mahant of the Gorakshapeeth, Adityanath expressed concern that people in India may feel a disconnect from their traditions and culture. He believes the Kumbh serves as a vital means to reconnect individuals with their spiritual and cultural heritage. (Agencies)
