SRINAGAR, Jan 8: In a significant operation against drug trafficking, the Srinagar Police successfully intercepted a shipment of narcotics that was smuggled from Pakistan, leading to the arrest of two suspected drug dealers. They recovered 8 kilograms of heroin during the operation, according to an official report.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Srinagar, Imtiyaz Hussain, informed the media that while conducting a routine check at Barthana crossing, police stopped a vehicle carrying two individuals.
A detailed search of the vehicle uncovered six kilograms of heroin hidden under the driver’s seat, he stated.
