NEW DELHI, Jan 2: Textile manufacturer AB Cotspin India Ltd announced on Thursday that it has secured an order worth Rs 7.50 crore for the supply of 300 metric tons of high-grade cotton yarn.
This order highlights the robust demand for the company’s premium offerings in both local and international markets, as stated by AB Cotspin India.
However, the company did not disclose the identity of the client from whom the order was received.
“This order is a testament to our dedication to outstanding quality, timely delivery, and the establishment of enduring customer loyalty, further cementing our role as a preferred partner in the textile sector,” said Deepak Garg, Managing Director of AB Cotspin India.
AB Cotspin India is devoted to sustainable practices and has integrated recycling into its primary operations.
By utilizing recycled cotton from both pre-consumer (spinning waste, yarn waste) and post-consumer (used clothing, upholstery) sources, the company manufactures a wide variety of yarns and garments.
This practice aligns with Global Recycling Standards (GRS) and substantially lowers environmental impact by decreasing waste production, especially wastewater from dyeing activities.
“Our recycling methods make use of colored waste materials directly to produce colored yarns, thereby eliminating the traditional dyeing procedures. This innovative method not only lessens environmental impact but also extends the company’s product line with a focus on sustainability,” Garg added further.
In accordance with its commitment to environmental sustainability, AB Cotspin has recently enhanced its solar energy capacity by an additional 300 KW, bringing its total installed solar power to 2,800 KW.
Moreover, an extra 331 KW of solar capacity is currently being installed and is anticipated to become operational by January 2025.
Founded in 1997, AB Cotspin India has established itself as a prominent textile manufacturer, with its headquarters located in Jaitu, Punjab. The company’s diverse portfolio includes the production of high-quality cotton yarn, knitted fabrics, cottonseed oil, and oil cakes. (PTI)
