JAMMU, Feb 3: The Students’ Experience in Inter-State Living (SEIL) tour, facilitated by Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), has arrived today for its event scheduled from February 3 to 6, 2025.
This tour represents a key initiative by ABVP intended to promote cultural exchange and national unity by connecting students from the northeastern states with various regions of India.
While in Jammu, the delegates will participate in interactive sessions, cultural events, and educational excursions to immerse themselves in the area’s rich traditions and heritage. To enhance their experience, arrangements have been made for SEIL delegates to stay with local families, fostering a sense of belonging and community.
Today, ABVP warmly welcomed all SEIL delegates at the Jammu Railway Station; they are set to visit IIT Jammu followed by a trip to Jagti. Tomorrow’s itinerary includes visits to Jammu’s popular tourist destinations Patnitop and Suchetgarh Border. Additionally, SEIL delegates will explore Agricultural University, Jammu University, Raghunath Temple, and the nearby Raghunath Market.
A major public reception is planned for February 6, 2024, featuring Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha as the chief guest. During this event, ABVP will acknowledge the host families who have graciously opened their homes to the visiting students.
In sharing this information, Akshi Billowria, a member of the ABVP Central Working Committee, emphasized that such exchanges are crucial for nurturing harmony, respect, and a profound understanding of our collective identity as Indians. “We are excited for the engaging conversations, insightful exchanges, and memorable experiences that await us during this visit,” she noted.
SEIL Coordinator Laishram Rajesh Singh and Co-Coordinator Bobita Narzary expressed their appreciation: “The warm reception and superb arrangements by ABVP Jammu have made us feel at home. We are eager to discover the rich heritage, cuisine, and vibrant life of the region. We hope this visit consolidates our dedication to national unity and cultural exchange, looking forward to an enriching experience.”
