Srinagar, Mar 6: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in Srinagar has announced the registration of an FIR concerning allegations of disproportionate asset accumulation by Ghulam Mohammad Bhat, a former Junior Engineer in the Jal Shakti (PHE) Department, Sub Division Pulwama.
Authorities discovered that the suspect holds significant assets, both movable and immovable, as well as substantial cash deposits registered in his own name and that of his family members. The assets were deemed disproportionate when compared to his known income sources, leading to the registration of FIR No. 04/2025 at ACB P/S Srinagar, according to an official statement.
Under the guidance of SSP Javid Hassan Bhat, search operations were executed at two distinct residential properties located at a) Pehlipora Safapora in Ganderbal, and b) Jawahar Nagar in Srinagar.
During these searches, incriminating evidence including revenue documents and financial records were seized, as stated by the official, who further mentioned that the investigation is ongoing. (KNO)
