New Delhi, Feb 20: As International Women’s Day approaches next month, the Adani Foundation organized its inaugural national-level roundtable consultation in the capital on February 19.
This event convened key stakeholders to strategize and develop pathways aimed at enhancing women’s empowerment across India.
The gathering also marked the introduction of the Foundation’s ‘Butterfly Effect’ framework – a transformative strategy crafted to meet the evolving needs of women throughout various phases of their lives.
A statement from the Adani Foundation highlighted that this roundtable was a vital platform for stakeholder engagement and for garnering strategic insights into improving the outreach and impact of women-centric initiatives.
The discussion aimed to explore new collaborations to amplify the socioeconomic empowerment of women across all age groups nationwide.
Since its inception in 1996, the Adani Foundation has been devoted to women’s empowerment, launching numerous targeted initiatives that address the distinct needs of women at every stage of life.
From early childhood through adolescence, young adulthood, midlife, and old age, the Foundation is committed to providing continuous support, ensuring that women gain essential guidance and opportunities to enhance their socio-economic status.
Its holistic approach to empowering women spans multiple dimensions.
The focus is on fostering inter-generational advancements, benefiting women from infancy through to old age.
Rather than simply providing charitable aid, the Foundation emphasizes education, nutrition and health security, skill development, and sustainable outcomes designed to cultivate self-reliance, agency, and autonomy.
By prioritizing economic activity, the Foundation is driving transformation for women via health, education, sustainable livelihoods, and infrastructure initiatives that enable them to make informed choices for themselves and their families.
The ‘Butterfly Effect’ framework encapsulates this comprehensive approach, placing women at the heart of all initiatives. It is designed to support women at different stages, facilitating their growth, self-sufficiency, and well-being.
During the event, the Adani Foundation presented its ‘Supporting Her Exponential Empowerment (S.H.E.)’ Report, a meticulously curated document that showcases the Foundation’s commitment to empowering women at every stage of their lives.
The report provides an in-depth examination of the Foundation’s strategies, emphasizing the holistic nature of its initiatives and their efforts to uplift women across the country.
Abhishek Lakhtakia, Chief Executive Officer of the Adani Foundation, reiterated the organization’s dedication to empowering women, stating, “Our initiatives are structured to ensure equitable access to opportunities, fostering growth, well-being, and empowerment throughout each phase of a woman’s life. This inaugural roundtable will undoubtedly act as a launchpad to further the cause of women’s empowerment and accelerate positive outcomes.”
He stressed the significance of collective action among stakeholders to generate meaningful scale for interventions at all life stages.
Through this approach, the Foundation continues to promote ‘Inclusive’, ‘Sustainable’, and ‘Transformative’ change in the lives of women. To date, the Foundation has positively impacted the lives of over two million girls and women through its dedicated efforts.
The Adani Foundation was established in 1996.
