Bengaluru, Feb 9: On Sunday, Air Chief Marshal A P Singh and Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi showcased the Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Tejas at Yelahanka Air Force Station, setting the stage for the upcoming Aero India-2025. This event, marking its biannual occurrence, will run from February 10 to 14.
Spectators watched in awe as the Air Chief Marshal piloted the aircraft alongside the Army Chief.
Following the successful flight, General Dwivedi expressed that it was one of the highlights of his life, naming the Air Chief Marshal his mentor and reflecting on his choice of service.
“It was a definitive moment for me. The Air Chief Marshal and I have been comrades since our days at the National Defence Academy (NDA), and I sometimes wish I had chosen the IAF over the Army,” General Dwivedi remarked to the media.
He noted, “From this point on, Air Chief Marshal AP Singh will be my guru, as he guided me through various roles and activities during the flight.”
The Army Chief added that he relished the challenge presented by the sortie, commending the Indian Air Force pilots for their skills and teamwork, which he believes heralds a promising start to Aero India-2025.
