SAMBA, Jan 20: AIIMS Jammu has partnered with 4baseCare to combat cancer and enhance access to precision medicine for everyone.
This collaboration aims to ensure that cutting-edge treatments for cancer and related genomic therapies are accessible to all, irrespective of geographical or financial barriers.
Through this alliance, AIIMS Jammu and 4baseCare will leverage advanced genomic technologies to offer personalized treatment plans for cancer patients, facilitating access to the most effective therapies tailored to their needs.
The goal is to integrate these advanced tools into standard care practices, ensuring that every patient’s individual story is recognized and that their treatment is as unique as their cancer.
Currently, there are no facilities in J&K and surrounding regions offering such services.
This establishment will serve not only as a referral center for Northern India but also for the entire country and neighboring nations.
During the announcement, Prof. (Dr.) Shakti Kumar Gupta, Executive Director & CEO of AIIMS-Jammu, remarked: “For every patient we treat, we are treating a mother, father, sister, or brother. This partnership is our pledge to every family who comes through our doors that we will strive to provide them with the care they rightfully deserve.”
Hitesh Goswami, CEO of 4baseCare, expressed: “While cancer can alter lives, so can our efforts. By collaborating, AIIMS Jammu and 4baseCare are dedicated to ensuring that no patient is overlooked. We are advocating for a future where every individual has access to the highest quality care, effective treatments, and, most crucially, the best chance for survival.”
A statement highlighted that AIIMS Jammu and 4baseCare are establishing foundations for clinics and centers of excellence in precision oncology, bringing tailored care closer to patients in Jammu and beyond. They are committed to making the promise of precision medicine a reality for everyone, everywhere.
