JAMMU, Dec 29: The Akhnoor Tigers Football Club hosted a special event for the unveiling of their jerseys in preparation for the 2025 tournament, alongside the announcement of the selected players for the team. Distinguished guests, including Dharmpul Gupta, President of the Akhnoor Sports Club, and Amit, were in attendance as chief guests.
The purpose of the event was to motivate the youth to engage in sports, with President Dharmpul Gupta highlighting the crucial role of sports in the nation’s development and the health of young people.
Additionally, a restructuring of the Executive Committee for the Akhnoor Tigers Football Club took place during the event. Pawan Bharti was appointed as the new President, with Anshul Gupta serving as Vice President, Devinder Chandan as General Secretary, Chandan Sharma as Secretary, and Vishav Bharti as Treasurer. Committees for selection, discipline, purchasing, coaching, and organization were also established to oversee various club activities.
The event garnered support from veteran players, including Ashok Mangotra, Ram Pal Sharma, Rajendra Sharma, and Vijay Kumar. It concluded with an inspiring call to action for players as they prepare for the upcoming tournament and the bright future ahead for the club.
