New Delhi, January 1: Union ministers Amit Shah and Dharmendra Pradhan are set to unveil a book called “Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh: Through the Ages” this Thursday, as informed by officials from the education ministry.
“This publication aims to chronicle the history of Jammu and Kashmir, along with Ladakh, from a perspective that provides insights for both experts and general readers,” stated a senior official from the education ministry.
“It is organized into seven sections, covering more than 3,000 years of the region’s heritage. Each illustration has been thoughtfully chosen to represent its era, reflecting its significance and contribution to the broader historical narrative of India,” the official further explained.
The book is available in both Hindi and English and is the product of a collaborative initiative between the National Book Trust of India and the Indian Council of Historical Research.
