Anantnag Unveils New Kennel Facility to Enhance Search and Rescue Operations in J&K

Srinagar, Jan 10: A cutting-edge kennel facility has been inaugurated in Anantnag district, Jammu and Kashmir, aimed at enhancing the police’s capabilities in search-and-rescue missions, bomb detection, and crime investigation.

During the inauguration at the Police Lines in Anantnag, DIG of the South Kashmir Range, Javid Iqbal Matoo, emphasized the importance of skilled dog units in contemporary policing. He stated that this facility is tailored to create an optimal training environment for police dogs, which will ultimately boost the operational effectiveness of the force. Anantnag SSP G V Sundeep Chakravarthy reiterated the department’s dedication to employing advanced methodologies and tools to safeguard public safety. The event also featured a live demonstration showcasing the abilities of the trained canine unit.
