JAMMU, Feb 27: The International Health Dialogue (IHD) 2025, organized by Apollo Hospitals, focused on addressing contemporary healthcare challenges through practical solutions. The event also marked the launch of the World Economic Forum’s India Digital Health Activator.
Union Minister for Health & Family Welfare & Chemicals & Fertilizers, J P Nadda, who served as the chief guest during the inauguration, noted, “India is set to spearhead the global healthcare revolution by combining technology with patient-centered care. The vision of IHD 2025 aligns perfectly with our national objectives to improve the accessibility, reach, and quality of healthcare services throughout India and beyond.”
Dr. Prathap C. Reddy, the founder of Apollo Hospitals, emphasized the need for innovation paired with compassion to create an inclusive future for healthcare.
In her address, Dr. Preetha Reddy, Executive Vice Chairperson of Apollo Hospitals, elaborated on the significant transformations occurring within the sector. She stated, “Healthcare is experiencing a global shift. Through our ‘Heal in India’ initiative, we are leveraging cutting-edge technology to make healthcare more accessible and effective for everyone. Although we are implementing advanced tools like AI and wearables, the human element remains crucial. We must respond promptly, precisely, and with heartfelt compassion.”
Dr. Madhu Sasidhar, president and CEO of Apollo Hospitals, remarked that AI-enhanced clinical trials are revolutionizing drug discovery and improving disease detection rates. He explained, “AI is changing our clinical trial processes by accelerating drug discovery and advancing early disease identification. Nonetheless, it is vital that we establish strong governance frameworks to guarantee these innovations remain ethical, secure, and genuinely focused on patients.”
The second day of the dialogue delved into further advancements in operational systems and patient care delivery.
