Jammu, January 13: Armed forces are providing training to members of the Village Defence Guard (VDG) in the border regions of Jammu district to bolster the anti-infiltration framework, officials reported on Monday.
The police have established VDG units in areas adjacent to the border with Pakistan.
Training for VDG personnel is being overseen by the Army’s Chenab Brigade, as stated by the officials.
A week-long training camp has been organized across various border villages in Jammu district aimed at improving the participants’ abilities in minor tactics, stamina, and marksmanship.
