NEW DELHI, Jan 18: AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal announced on Saturday that his party plans to take strong measures to extend free electricity and water benefits to renters if they are re-elected.
During a press conference, he addressed the concerns of tenants throughout Delhi. “Everywhere I go, I encounter renters who appreciate the quality of schools and hospitals but feel excluded from the free electricity and water programs,” he stated.
Kejriwal promised to tackle this issue, stating, “We are committed to ensuring that after the elections, tenants, many from the Purvanchal region, will also receive the advantages of free electricity and water.”
This announcement is part of the Aam Aadmi Party’s intensified campaign for the Delhi assembly elections set for February 5, with results expected to be announced on February 8.
As they seek a third consecutive term, the AAP has centered its campaign on its welfare projects, emphasizing free utilities and enhanced public services as its primary strengths. (PTI)
