SRINAGAR, Dec 10: In a notable crackdown on drug trafficking, the Anantnag Police on Tuesday seized a residential property valued at ₹50 lakhs belonging to the infamous drug peddler, Gh Hassan Bandro, also known as Qasim, son of Wali Mohammad from Sotkipora.
This operation was executed by the Srigufwara Police Station as part of ongoing intensified measures to combat drug-related issues.
The accused has a long history of drug trafficking and faces multiple charges under the NDPS Act, including FIR Nos. 04/2014 and 74/2021 at Police Station Srigufwara. Authorities highlighted that these cases underline his persistent attempts to jeopardize community health through illegal activities.
They further stated that the attachment of this property serves as a strong warning to others involved in the drug trade, signaling that such actions are unacceptable. The Anantnag Police are committed to dismantling drug trafficking networks by targeting their financial assets and operational frameworks.
