KOLKATA, Dec 18: The Bharat Mobility Global Expo is poised to become the largest automotive exhibition in the world, with over 1,500 exhibitors expected to participate and numerous vehicle models set to be unveiled, according to EEPC India, the event’s coordinating agency, on Wednesday.
The second edition of the expo, taking place from January 17 to 22, 2025, will feature an exhibition area that has doubled to 200,000 square meters, as stated by an official from the Engineering Export Promotion Council (EEPC).
“We are nearing 200,000 sq meters of exhibition space, just shy of 200 exhibitors from the world-renowned IAA Hannover show. We anticipate this exhibition will soon become the largest mobility show globally, in alignment with the Commerce Ministry’s vision,” EEPC Vice Chairman Aakash Shah told PTI.
More than half a million visitors are anticipated to attend the global expo.
This edition will bring together nine trade shows under the mobility umbrella.
“Cycles have been absent from the mobility ecosystem, prompting EEPC to take charge of organizing a dedicated cycle show,” added Shah.
The expo will showcase over 34 top vehicle manufacturers unveiling new models and electric vehicles.
A diverse range of electric, hybrid, CNG, and biofuel-powered vehicles from both domestic and international companies will be on display, another official noted.
Leading electric vehicle manufacturers, including Ather Energy, Ola Electric, Vayve Mobility, Eka Mobility, and Vietnam’s Vinfast, will contribute to the electric transformation.
Over 800 auto component manufacturers and 1,000 brands from more than 13 global markets will present their products, technologies, and services for OEMs and the aftermarket.
“Country pavilions from Germany, the UK, South Korea, and Japan, along with participation from the US, Spain, UAE, China, Russia, Italy, Turkey, Singapore, and Belgium, will create a truly global platform,” remarked former EEPC Chairman Arun Garodia.
Shah also mentioned that despite visa challenges, Chinese companies operating in India will be involved in the expo, although their numbers are significantly lower compared to the pre-COVID era.
The Ministry of Commerce and Industry is set to host the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 across three venues: Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, Yashobhoomi in Dwarka, and India Expo Centre and Mart in Greater Noida. (PTI)
