JAMMU, Dec 29: Baldev Singh Billawaria, former Deputy Mayor of Jammu and senior BJP leader, officially launched development projects in Gangyal today.
The initiative follows the guidance of RS Pura-Jammu South MLA Dr. Narinder Singh, with an estimated budget of around 12 lakh rupees.
This development includes the construction of lanes and drains, along with the installation of iron grating on the drains, all supervised by the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC).
During the launch, Billawaria emphasized that this was a long-standing request from local residents, as the lanes and drains had been in poor condition for an extended period, creating significant difficulties for those traversing the area.
“MLA Dr. Narinder Singh has already initiated work on two lanes in Gangyal, and on his recommendation, work on additional lanes has now commenced. Development projects in RS Pura-Jammu South Assembly, which have been neglected in the past, will also continue to be addressed in a phased approach,” he stated.
He urged officials to prepare estimates for remaining lane and drain projects to expedite their development.
“The objective of the Modi Government is to deliver development to the people, and the BJP is committed to demonstrating tangible results on the ground, ensuring benefits reach even the most underserved,” he added.
Others in attendance included Mandal President Ranjit Singh, Ajay Pratap Singh, Balwant Kumar, Suresh Mishra, Jugal Kishore, Om Nath, Yash Raj, Dr. Kuldeep Gupta, Sunny Kumar, and Romi Singh.
