JAMMU, Feb 15: Leaders from the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) and Apni Party held separate meetings with Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha at Raj Bhawan today.
The BJP delegation, led by State President Sat Sharma along with MLA Sunil Sharma from the Padder-Nagseni Assembly Constituency, addressed vital political and developmental matters concerning the Union Territory with the LG.
In addition, Apni Party (AP) President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari engaged with the LG regarding the current political climate and significant public concerns, including urgent grievances.
A statement from the party noted that Bukhari emphasized various critical political, social, and development issues that need immediate attention.
He urged the LG to ensure the Government takes proactive measures to tackle these concerns in the interest of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, as stated.
One of the main issues brought up by Bukhari was the recent tragic death of a driver in Kashmir, who was killed in a shooting incident at a checkpoint in Baramulla.
The LG attentively listened to the leaders of both the BJP and Apni Party, assuring them that their concerns would be prioritized.
