JAMMU, February 11: BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh stated on Tuesday that the party is dedicated to the growth and security of Jammu & Kashmir, emphasizing that the abrogation of Articles 370 and 35A has provided enhanced rights to the citizens.
While addressing the media in Jammu, Chugh remarked that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah have made assurances regarding the restoration of statehood.
“When the Prime Minister has addressed the issue of statehood in the Lok Sabha, why should we seek it separately?” he questioned.
He noted that statehood would be reinstated at an appropriate time and encouraged political leaders, including Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, to concentrate on fulfilling their commitments to the residents of Jammu & Kashmir.
Chugh added that every BJP member, whether a legislator or a party activist, possesses the right to voice their opinions in alignment with Shyama Prasad Mukherjee’s ideology. (KNO)
