New Delhi, Feb 8: The latest vote counting trends from the Delhi assembly elections indicate that the BJP is leading in 30 seats, while the AAP is ahead in 22, and the Congress has secured one seat.
As per the most recent updates presented by television channels, AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal, who is competing against BJP’s Parvesh Verma in the New Delhi constituency, is currently trailing.
In Kalkaji, Chief Minister Atishi is behind BJP’s Ramesh Bidhuri.
Additionally, former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia is trailing in Jangpura.
BJP’s Kapil Mishra is leading in Karawal Nagar, while AAP’s Saurabh Bharadwaj is ahead in Greater Kailash.
The outcome of these results will determine whether AAP maintains its political stronghold in Delhi or if BJP is poised to reclaim power for the first time since 1998.
The Congress party, which governed the national capital from 1998 to 2013, is hoping for a resurgence after not securing any seats in the last two elections.
Delhi, with a total of 1.55 crore eligible voters, recorded a voter turnout of 60.54 percent in the election held on February 5.
