Jammu, March 1: Officials reported the recovery of two bodies from a river in the Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, while efforts to locate a missing minor boy continued into the third day on Saturday.
The three individuals went missing on Thursday evening after a cab carrying ten passengers skidded off the road and fell into the river near Kalai bridge in Poonch town.
Rescuers successfully saved seven people, but three others remained unaccounted for, according to reports.
The body of Shaheena Akhter from Manjakote was retrieved on Saturday, while Abdul Aziz’s body was found in the same vicinity late Friday evening.
A two-year-old boy is also missing following the incident, and search efforts for him are ongoing, the officials confirmed.
