MENDHAR, Dec 12: A tragic incident occurred today in Gohlad, Malikpur village of Mendhar Sub-Division, resulting in the death of a 14-year-old boy due to an electric shock.
The unfortunate event involved Mohd Ashfaq, son of Mohd Aslam, who was gathering leaves from a tree in his home’s courtyard for his goats.
Reports indicate that while Ashfaq was in the tree, he inadvertently made contact with a live electric wire overhead. The shock led to his fall from the tree. Neighbors promptly took him to the Mendhar Sub-District Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead upon arrival.
Dr. Ashfaq Ahmed, the Block Medical Officer of Mendhar, verified the details of the incident. After the formalities were completed at the hospital, the body was returned to the family.
This heartbreaking incident has cast a shadow of grief over the entire village. Meanwhile, local police have filed a case and begun an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
