January 26th, a day of national pride,
It’s Republic Day, where our hearts coincide.
A commitment to unity, a nation’s vow,
To cherish our constitution, here and now.
The tricolor flies high, a beacon of strength,
With our anthem’s melody, we find our length.
The parade commences, with a rhythmic march,
An exhibition of power, where spirits arch.
From the peaks of Kashmir to the shores of Kanyakumari,
India’s rich tapestry, woven in harmony.
The dreams of our leaders, their vision so bright,
A sovereign, socialist, secular India in sight.
We remember the battles, the sacrifices dear,
The bravery of those who conquered their fear.
We salute the warriors, who protect our land,
Their courage and loyalty, our Republic’s stand.
As we commemorate this day of rebirth,
Let’s commit to uphold our nation’s worth.
Striving for a future where everyone thrives,
Wishing a joyful Republic Day, as our great nation thrives!

A WANDERING ORPHAN

They referred to him as the isolated child,
Always sorrowful, life unstyled.
No friends to share laughter or talk,
But at day’s end, he took his own walk.
He wandered barefoot, through darkness profound,
Counting stars and gazing around.
They thought him sad,
With no parents to call him glad.
Yet, in contrast to being a victim of fate,
He found beauty in life, despite feeling late.
