NEW DELHI, Feb 26: Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal has guaranteed that the Central Government will extend its full support to the Maharashtra government’s efforts in urban redevelopment and infrastructure enhancement.
Speaking to an audience in Mumbai (North) on February 25, the union minister emphasized the government’s dedication to providing permanent housing for the homeless and those residing in temporary structures within the same area.
Goyal serves as a Lok Sabha representative for Mumbai (North).
During the event, he joined Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis in handing over keys for 15 self-redeveloped housing societies located in North Mumbai.
He also noted that construction is moving rapidly on a 1,000-bed hospital near Magathane metro station, with plans for another 1,000-bed facility in West Kandivali aimed at improving healthcare services in the area.
