JAMMU, Feb 6: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah inaugurated a book titled “Hearts and Heroes: Lives that Shaped Us,” which is a poetic tribute to notable figures, written by Kulbhushan Kumar, a JKAS officer currently serving as the Director of Finance in the Disaster Management Relief & Rehabilitation Department.
Colleagues and friends of the author gathered for a brief ceremony at the Civil Secretariat to celebrate the release.
“Hearts and Heroes” is a compilation of poems that honors visionaries, leaders, and often-overlooked heroes whose contributions have profoundly impacted humanity.
The book underscores the values of love, compassion, and resilience, drawing inspiration from global icons depicted within its pages.
In his remarks, the Chief Minister commended the author for his dedication to literature, especially while fulfilling his duties as a civil servant. Originating from the village of Birnoo in Jammu and Kashmir, Kumar’s book ‘Hearts and Heroes’ has been published by Authors Press.
