BEIJING, Dec 15: Passenger train services between Russia and China are set to resume on Sunday, December 15, 2024, following a four-year suspension, as announced by Russian Railways.
The cessation of passenger travel between the two nations began in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
With the resumption on December 15, Russian Railways will implement a new train timetable for the next three years, extending through 2027. On the same date, the international train No. 402/401 Suifenhe – Grodekovo, operated by China Railway, will also restart service.
This train service will operate daily, with an approximate travel duration of one and a half hours.
According to Russian Railways’ website, the train will consist solely of seating accommodations.
