BEIJING, Jan 17: On Friday, China successfully launched a Pakistani satellite from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center.
The satellite, known as PRSC-EO1, was propelled into orbit by a Long March-2D carrier rocket at 12:07 p.m. (Beijing Time), as reported by the state-run Xinhua news agency.
In addition to PRSC-EO1, the rocket also transported two other satellites – Tianlu-1 and Lantan-1. This launch marked the 556th mission of the Long March carrier rocket series.
In recent years, China has expanded its support for Pakistan’s satellite launches, enhancing their all-weather partnership into the realm of space exploration.
In the previous year, China deployed a multi-mission communication satellite for Pakistan.
Back in 2018, two satellites were also successfully launched: PRSS-1, Pakistan’s inaugural optical remote sensing satellite, and the smaller observation satellite, PakTES-1A. (Agencies)
