HIRANAGAR, Jan 11: The BJP conducted a commemoration ceremony for the martyrs of 1953, Shaheed Bhikhm Singh and Shaheed Bihari Lal, at their memorial site in Hiranagar.
Key figures including Tarun Chugh, National General Secretary BJP & Prabhari J&K BJP, Sat Sharma, President of J&K BJP, Shrikant Sharma, Observer for Organizational elections in J&K BJP, Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal, General Secretary J&K BJP & MLA, Dr. Bharat Bhushan, Vijay Sharma, & Rajiv Jasrotia, MLAs, Gopal Mahajan, District President, Th. Ranjit Singh, DDCs, BDCs, along with other senior party leaders, paid floral tributes to the martyrs. Union Minister of State Dr. Jitendra Singh also participated in the program virtually.
While honoring the martyrs, Tarun Chugh expressed that the BJP remains grateful to all the brave souls who sacrificed their lives for the nation. “On August 5, we won a minor battle, but we must continue the long fight to achieve the dreams of Thakur Baldev Singh and Prem Nath Dogra and to honor the sacrifices made by Shyama Prasad Mookherjee. The 28 MLAs serve as the protectors of our ideology to safeguard J&K. The three families of Nehru, Abdullah, and Mufti have sought self-rule, but J&K will steadfastly remain an integral part of India until the very last BJP worker,” he affirmed.
Chugh also denounced former UP CM Akhilesh for questioning the status of PoJK and criticized those who threatened a ‘river of blood’ regarding Article 370. He referenced Ruhullah’s remarks regarding the repeated history of 1947 and 1990, asserting that the Modi Government will not permit any such mischief.
In his tribute to the martyrs of 1953, Shaheed Bihari Lal and Shaheed Bhikham Singh, Sat Sharma remarked that the Jammu region has always resisted tyranny. He highlighted Jammu’s rich legacy of sacrifices and bravery for its land and ideals. He declared that these martyrs serve as role models for future generations and emphasized that the BJP is firmly dedicated to upholding these values with a ‘Nation First’ approach.
