CHADOORA, Dec 4: Justice Tashi Rabstan, Chief Justice of the High Court of J&K and Ladakh, visited the Chadoora Court Complex in Budgam today to inaugurate new lawyers’ chambers. Justice Sindhu Sharma, Judge of the High Court and administrative Judge for District Budgam, joined the event virtually from Jammu.
Attendees included Shahzad Azeem, Registrar General of the High Court, O.P Bhaghat, Principal District & Sessions Judge Budgam, Yahya Firdous, Additional District & Sessions Judge, Akshay Labroo, DC Budgam, along with SSP Budgam, Superintending Engineer R&B, SDM Chadoora, Executive Engineer R&B Budgam, Sub-Judge Chadoora, Munsiff Chadoora, and members of the Bar Association of Chadoora, as well as a significant number of members from the public.
After the inauguration, the Chief Justice engaged with both lawyers and community members, addressing their concerns. He issued immediate directives to those responsible for resolving the raised issues. Justice Rabstan also allocated a week’s time to the Superintending Engineer and Executive Engineer of R&B Budgam to finalize the construction of the court building and the pathway leading to the court and chambers.
Furthermore, the Chief Justice met with judicial officers at Chadoora, listened to their grievances, and emphasized the importance of providing timely justice to litigants, urging the priority disposal of older cases.
