- Raabita: Fostering a Lasting Connection between Government and Citizens
SRINAGAR, Dec 7: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah took a significant step today towards improving direct engagement with the citizens of Jammu and Kashmir during his first public interaction at the newly established Chief Minister’s Public Services and Outreach Office, known as Raabita. During the event, the Chief Minister emphasized that this office aims to create a dedicated space for resolving public grievances and nurturing a constructive relationship between the government and the community.
A total of 15 delegations had the opportunity to meet with the Chief Minister, representing a diverse range of social, cultural, and professional interests.
Topics raised during the discussions included economic hurdles, cultural preservation, employment issues, and sectoral advancements. There was a strong focus on the preservation of the region’s unique cultural heritage, with representatives advocating for initiatives that celebrate Jammu and Kashmir’s rich traditions, safeguard local languages, and introduce social welfare programs.
The Chief Minister attentively acknowledged these concerns, underlining the importance of a unified approach to uphold the region’s distinct identity.
