JAMMU, Jan 21: Today, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah unveiled the 2025 calendars and trekking maps developed by the Department of Tourism, Jammu and Kashmir, during a ceremony at the Civil Secretariat. The event was graced by Advisor to the Chief Minister Nasir Aslam Wani, Additional Chief Secretary Dheeraj Gupta, Commissioner Secretary Tourism Yasha Mudgal, and the Directors of Tourism from both Kashmir and Jammu, along with other stakeholders.
During the ceremony, wall and table calendars for 2025 were introduced, along with trekking maps that highlight various picturesque tourist destinations, showcasing the abundant tourism potential of Jammu and Kashmir. The calendars feature stunning landscapes, cultural heritage, and the remarkable tourist attractions of the area.
The trekking maps provide detailed information on several popular trails such as the Kolahoi Glacier Trek, Khrew-Wasterwan Trail, Gurez-Sonamarg Trek, Sarbal Bear Valley Trek, and Margan Pass Tsoharmarg Trek.
Praising the Tourism Department’s efforts, the Chief Minister stressed the significance of these initiatives in positioning Jammu and Kashmir as a prime travel destination. He stated, “These calendars and trekking maps will be invaluable resources in informing potential visitors about our region’s captivating attractions and trekking paths. This initiative is sure to draw more tourists to experience the natural beauty and adventure that our state has to offer.”
