During his speech at the inauguration, the Chief Minister recognized the hospital for its outstanding service to the community. He stated that institutions like SVMM Charitable Hospital embody the essence of service, by providing quality healthcare at affordable prices.
“The hospital functions like a private entity in terms of quality but maintains lower charges compared to government facilities,” Omar Abdullah explained.
Reflecting on the hospital’s development, the Chief Minister noted its origin as a modest single-room dispensary and celebrated its growth into a prominent healthcare institution. “This transition is truly commendable and deserves recognition,” he expressed.
Omar Abdullah also praised the hospital’s neo-natal care unit, highlighting the impressive 100 percent recovery rate for infants in the ICU.
“This accomplishment is encouraging not just for the hospital but also for the families of the children receiving care here,” he remarked.
