‘Ensure citizens receive essential services’

GANDERBAL, Feb 22: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah held a public darbar at the Dak Bungalow in Ganderbal today, where he engaged directly with various delegations and individuals from across the district to discuss their daily challenges and development concerns.

During the gathering, the Chief Minister attentively addressed the issues and requests presented by community members, providing immediate directions to the relevant authorities for swift action.
He emphasized the need for the district administration to prioritize resolving public grievances, ensuring that citizens have access to fundamental amenities. Reiterating his dedication to the welfare and socio-economic progress of Ganderbal, Omar committed to ongoing support and prompt actions to tackle the concerns brought forth by locals.
Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Jatin Kishore, along with other senior district officials, were present to record the issues raised by attendees.
Public representatives and numerous individuals from areas including Beehama, Duderhama, Fatehpora, Shalabugh, Sehpora, Bamloora, Tulmulla, Barosa, Theeru, Gangerhama, Sherpathri, Lar, Safapora, Gutlibagh, and beyond shared their demands with the Chief Minister.
Significant requests included establishing fire service stations at key locations, developing playgrounds, improving irrigation facilities, building a waiting area at the district hospital, widening roads, promoting horticulture and agriculture, enhancing the beauty of the River Sindh, reinforcing the nallah bank on the Jhelum side, and undertaking dredging and desilting of Duderhama Nallah.
Furthermore, there was a strong desire for the creation of job opportunities within the district. In response, the Chief Minister, who serves as the representative for the Ganderbal constituency in the J&K Legislative Assembly, instructed the Deputy Commissioner and senior officials to ensure all legitimate concerns are addressed promptly.
He assured the public that the presented issues would be thoroughly evaluated and resolved within an appropriate timeframe.
