KATHUA, Jan 31: Col Mahan Singh, Chairman of DDC Kathua, visited the remote Dhar Jankher area today to evaluate infrastructure projects and address local concerns.
His tour included stops at Kholi Talai, Frolu, and Jagna villages, where he held public meetings to hear residents’ issues.
Alongside senior leaders, Col Mahan Singh assessed the condition of the Kholi Talai-Jagna and Kholi Talai-Samoond roads, both of which require immediate repair.
He also checked on the progress of the GHSS Snanghat building and the viewing point at Jagna, emphasizing the urgency of completing these projects.
Reiterating his commitment to advancing the development of Kathua’s remote regions, Col Mahan Singh highlighted the necessity for improved road connectivity, which is crucial for economic development and enhanced access to essential services.
He assured the community that their concerns would be communicated to the appropriate authorities to expedite road repairs and new projects.
The DDC Chairman also stressed the importance of bolstering infrastructure, including schools, healthcare facilities, and public amenities, to uplift the quality of life in rural areas.
During his visit, Col Mahan Singh extended his condolences to the family of Late Shri Swarna Singh, an ASI in J&K Police, who recently passed away, paying tribute to his service to the community.
