During the session, the Chief Secretary received a live demonstration of the ‘JK Samadhan’ grievance portal, allowing him to review certain grievances reported by citizens. He utilized this opportunity to evaluate both the resolution timeline and the quality of responses provided by the respective departments.
He urged the administrative leaders to designate Nodal Officers, no less than Deputy Secretaries, to oversee the handling of grievances within their departments. In instances where the details of grievances are inadequate for further action, he advocated for clarifying with citizens rather than closing the grievance prematurely.
The Chief Secretary also emphasized the need for the district administration to promote the ‘JK Samadhan’ portal among residents, facilitating easier grievance registration.
He encouraged an increase in citizen registrations and mandated that all grievances, including those submitted in physical format, be uploaded to the portal.
Additionally, he requested the Department of Public Grievances to grant super access to Administrative heads and DCs for an analytical dashboard related to their departments and districts. He insisted they should be prepared with an AI-enhanced version of the portal by February this year.
During the meeting, Secretary of Public Grievances, Aijaz Asad, presented the public grievances portal to the Chief Secretary. He disclosed that a more advanced AI-based version, ‘JK Samadhan 2.0’, is being developed through BISAG-N and will be available by February this year.
Regarding actions taken from prior directives issued by the Chief Secretary, it was noted that an analytical dashboard has been created, and its demonstration occurred during the meeting. Additionally, DCs have also been granted access to monitor all grievances registered in their districts for prompt action.
Furthermore, capacity-building programs have been conducted for Master trainers and nodal officers following previous instructions. Offline training sessions in districts are being conducted to enhance officer and official capabilities, supported by resource persons from this Department.
