KULGAM, Mar 1: A public darbar led by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan, took place today in Devsar, drawing an impressive turnout as locals arrived in droves to voice their concerns.
During the session, attendees brought forth several requests, including the extension of the irrigation canal, renovation of the road from Churat to Razloo, fencing of forested areas in Churat, construction of a road for the Churat playfield, and improvements to drinking water supply in Churat, among other issues.
The DC patiently listened to all complaints, addressing several urgent matters on-site.
Present officials also provided updates on the actions taken regarding grievances discussed in prior meetings.
In his speech, the DC confirmed that all requests had been documented and will be actively pursued for appropriate action.
He emphasized the ongoing work on the Brazloo Bridge project, highlighting its steady progress with an aim to complete it ahead of schedule for community benefit.
Furthermore, enhancements to water supply systems in Devsar and surrounding towns are being undertaken under the AMRUT scheme.
The DC also emphasized the completion of various projects within the region focused on community welfare.
He noted that the goal of the program is to address public concerns swiftly and efficiently.
The event saw participation from various officials, including Additional Deputy Commissioner Viqar Ahmad; Assistant Commissioner Development, Tehsildar, ARTO, and other personnel.
