New Delhi, Feb 23: Veteran Congress leader Karan Singh describes the protagonist of “The Temple of Shiva” as “sort of an alter ego,” emphasizing that an author’s debut novel often mirrors their inner world.
Singh shared these insights during a discussion about his book “The Temple of Shiva” at a recent event.
The gathering, which featured a conversation with a journalist, provided deep reflections on literature, philosophy, and the art of storytelling.
Published by Parchment Publications, “The Temple of Shiva” weaves together history, mythology, and devotion, crafting a rich narrative centered on faith and self-discovery, as stated in their announcement.
In the discussion, Singh offered intriguing perspectives on his main character, Ashok, referring to him as an alter ego—representative of what he could have become under different circumstances.
“Your debut novel,” he remarked, “always reflects the author’s inner life.” Parchment Publications hosted the event at the Kunzum Bookstore.
Shubhi Arya, founder of Parchment Publications, expressed, “It is a privilege and a personal honor to publish ‘The Temple of Shiva.’ Dr. Karan Singh’s insights, depth, and storytelling should inspire younger generations to delve into India’s vast spiritual and cultural legacy.”
