New Delhi, Jan 8: The Congress party has announced a new initiative, the “Jeevan Raksha Yojana,” which promises free health insurance coverage of up to ₹25 lakh if they come to power in Delhi.
Senior Congress leader and former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot described the initiative as a transformative step. “Our chances of forming the government in Delhi are improving, and I believe such measures are essential for the nation,” he stated.
Gehlot emphasized that this initiative demonstrates the party’s dedication to addressing the health care needs of Delhi residents. The campaign slogan “Hogi Har Zarurat Puri, Congress Hai Zaroori” prominently echoed the party’s commitment to providing essential services for all.
The scheme aims to offer comprehensive health coverage to families, encompassing expenses related to critical illnesses, hospital stays, and various treatments. The Delhi Assembly elections are set for February 5, with results to be announced on February 8. (Agencies)
