SRINAGAR, Feb 8: The Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Omar Abdullah, on Saturday seemed to hold Congress responsible for diminishing the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) votes, as the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) established an early advantage in the Delhi elections, while the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) coalition struggled to maintain momentum. The alliance’s members, including West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s Trinamool Congress (TMC) and Akhilesh Yadav’s Samajwadi Party, had supported the AAP during the Delhi elections and campaigned on its behalf.
“Aur lado aapas mein [and keep fighting each other]!!!” Abdullah shared a post from the digital platform DeKoder on X, quoting political analyst Manisha Priyam, who suggested that Congress was siphoning votes away from AAP as it appeared to falter.
