New Delhi, Jan 10: Low visibility due to dense fog led to delays for over 100 flights at Delhi airport on Friday morning. IndiGo advised passengers on X at 5:04 AM to check flight statuses before heading to the airport. DIAL, the airport operator, noted at 5:52 AM that while departures were affected, CAT III compliant flights could still operate safely in the fog. According to Flightradar.com, more than 100 flights experienced delays. The Delhi International Airport Ltd (DIAL) recommended that travelers reach out to their airlines for real-time updates and expressed regret for any inconvenience experienced. IndiGo further encouraged passengers to allow extra travel time due to reduced visibility and slower traffic in foggy conditions. Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) in the national capital manages approximately 1,300 flight movements daily. (Agencies)
