MAHAKUMBH NAGAR (UP), Jan 13: The Sangam bank in Prayagraj transformed into a focal point on Monday, attracting visitors eager to capture selfies alongside the cutouts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath during the first bathing festival of the Maha Kumbh.
The 45-day Maha Kumbh Mela is set to conclude on February 26, with an estimated 40 crore devotees expected to take a holy dip at the Sangam.
A large gathering of women and youth congregated at Nandi Dwar on Paush Purnima Snan to snap photos and selfies, showcasing their enthusiasm for Modi and Adityanath.
Brajesh Sharma, a visitor from Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh, shared his admiration for both leaders, expressing that the cutouts drew him in. His entire family participated in taking selfies, commending the arrangements at the Maha Kumbh Mela.
Suganma Dhippo, who journeyed from Pune, Maharashtra, for the sacred bath, praised the event’s arrangements. She noted that the visuals of Modi and Yogi at Nandi Dwar were stunning, encouraging her and her family to take selfies.
Sunita Swami, who traveled from Delhi, recounted her surprise at discovering the cutouts of Modi and Yogi. Impressed by the appealing visuals, she and her family captured selfies, lauding the contributions of the two leaders.
Manoj Kumar Singh, a visitor from Kaushambi in Uttar Pradesh, also joined in on the selfie trend, preserving moments with the cutouts. He complimented the fair’s organization and the bathing facilities, emphasizing PM Modi and CM Yogi’s efforts in orchestrating the Maha Kumbh.
