Jammu, January 6: Devyani Rana, daughter of the late MLA and prominent BJP figure Devender Singh Rana, has been appointed as the Vice-President of the Bhartiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) for the Jammu and Kashmir unit.
The nomination was made by Arun Prabhat, President of BJYM J&K, following discussions with Sat Sharma, President of BJP J&K, and Ashok Koul, General Secretary (Organization) of BJP J&K.
Devender Singh Rana, a former MLA, passed away on October 31 of last year after a brief illness.
The event was attended by notable party figures including Tarun Chugh, National General Secretary of BJP & Prabhari for J&K, Sat Sharma, President of J&K BJP, Sunil Sharma, Leader of Opposition, Kavinder Gupta, former Deputy Chief Minister, Aseem Gupta, Vice-President of J&K BJP, Vibodh Gupta, General Secretary of J&K BJP, along with other senior party leaders.
