Srinagar, Feb 24: Vijay Kumar Bidhuri, the Divisional Commissioner of Kashmir, stated on Thursday that the administration is thoroughly prepared for the upcoming holy month of Ramadan, with a high-level meeting slated for tomorrow to finalize the arrangements.
While addressing reporters in Srinagar, Kumar acknowledged concerns regarding unscheduled power outages but reassured that the situation has remained stable. “Even during adverse weather conditions, the power supply has been satisfactory, and authorities anticipate a smooth power supply during Ramadan as well,” he said.
When questioned about the weather alert, he noted that the much-needed rainfall has not had a significant effect on power supply, with 90% of the supply lines still operational. “Air and rail transport are operating smoothly, and national highways are open, with the exception of certain border areas,” he added.
