NEW DELHI, Jan 15: In a remarkable demonstration of unity and determination ahead of the Delhi Legislative Assembly elections, Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh hosted a luncheon for residents of Jammu & Kashmir who have made Delhi their home.
The gathering drew notable figures from the local displaced Kashmiri Pandit community, serving as a vital forum to discuss urgent issues encountered by Kashmiri Pandit migrants.
Dr. Jitendra Singh, recognized for his staunch advocacy for the welfare of displaced Kashmiri Pandits from Jammu & Kashmir, reaffirmed the BJP’s dedication to supporting the community in Delhi, expressing confidence that following February 8, the BJP will form the government in Delhi and address the concerns of displaced KPs.
The meeting was attended by various dignitaries, including Jammu MP Jugal Kishore Sharma, Delhi State BJP President Vijender Sachdeva, senior BJP leader Ashok Thakur, J&K MLAs Shakti Raj Parihar, Dilip Singh Parihar, Balwant Singh Mankotia, and Dr. Bharat Bhushan.
“The time for transformation is upon us. On February 8, as the BJP’s Double Engine Government takes office, the era of neglect and indifference towards the Kashmiri community will come to an end. We are committed to bringing resolution, development, and a promising future for every Kashmiri migrant,” declared Dr. Jitendra Singh with unwavering conviction.
In a pointed critique of the current administration, Dr. Jitendra Singh criticized the state government for its inadequate governance and neglect of the needs of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, particularly within the migrant community.
“The state government has significantly failed to uphold the basic rights and dignity of the citizens of the Union Territory. However, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, we will rectify this. The youth of Kashmir possess the talent, dedication, and commitment needed for national advancement; what is missing is governance that recognizes their ambitions,” Dr. Singh emphasized.
“Delhi stands on the brink of a historic opportunity,” Dr. Singh continued, “Under PM Modi’s visionary leadership, now is the prime time to secure not only Delhi’s progress but also that of the entire country. While Delhi deserves a government that listens, understands, and takes action, the citizens have been let down by the current regime. It is time for a change, for a BJP government that fulfills its promises and creates a prosperous future for all.”
“In the upcoming elections, the people of Delhi must choose between progress and stagnation. Under the BJP, Delhi will remain the city of aspirations; under the opposition, it will be ensnared by inefficiency and corruption.”
Dr. Jitendra Singh also encouraged the Kashmiri displaced community to actively participate in the forthcoming Delhi elections, urging them to support a leadership that has consistently stood by them, especially in critical times.
He pointed out that it is the BJP that has championed the cause of Kashmiri Pandits, providing educational reservations for their children in states where they are in power. He expressed pride and satisfaction in seeing Kashmiri youth excel globally, in countries like New Zealand and the United Kingdom, and stressed that similar opportunities must be cultivated at home to honor the intellect and academic potential of J&K’s population.
“The resilience and patriotism of the Kashmiri people are their greatest strengths. It is now our responsibility to ensure that their future is as radiant as their spirit. We need to unite, rise, and contribute to the advancement of this city under the leadership of the BJP.”
