JAMMU, Dec 5: Dr. Mukesh Chugh, a consultant anaesthetist residing in the UK and originally from the Shastri Nagar locality of Jammu, has been honored with the esteemed BB-Mahatma Gandhi Award 2024. This accolade acknowledges his remarkable efforts in promoting Indian culture, heritage, and enhancing interfaith understanding.
The award ceremony took place at the UK House of Lords and was presented by the Health Minister of Uttarakhand, Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat, along with Dr. Hans and Baroness Sandip Verma.
In addition to the award, Dr. Chugh was adorned with a traditional white shawl, known as “Siroba,” which symbolizes respect and honor.
Dr. Chugh’s impactful contributions have played a crucial role in bridging cultural divides and fostering peace, establishing him as a true representative of Indian values on the global stage.
