BANIHAL/JAMMU, Dec 17: A tragic incident occurred on Tuesday when a tree fell on a truck along the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway in Ramban district, Jammu and Kashmir, resulting in the death of a driver and injuries to another. According to officials, the tree fell on the vehicle in the Nachalana area after catching fire in a nearby forest. The driver, 38-year-old Muzamil Gul, and his helper, Owais Ahmed, were both injured and transported to the sub-district hospital in Banihal, where Gul unfortunately succumbed to his injuries. DSP Traffic, S P Singh, has requested support from an SDRF team equipped with cutting tools and other equipment for further assistance.
