SRINAGAR, Mar 7: A tragic accident occurred late last night in the Navyug tunnel, resulting in the death of a driver and injuries to his assistant, according to officials.
The incident took place around 10:20 PM on Thursday when a truck traveling from Srinagar to Jammu collided with another truck inside the tunnel.
The driver, identified as Sukhdev Singh (30) from Punjab, was pronounced dead at the scene, while his helper, Jaswinder Singh (26), also from Punjab, sustained injuries.
Authorities have initiated an investigation into the matter. (KNO)
